Utility/Infrastructure Upgrade: Pennridge Senior High School, Perkasie, PA

This project consisted of two phases.

The first phase involved the design and construction of 8,950 linear feet of a 12-inch diameter ductile iron pipe, off-site fire service, and domestic water main to Pennridge High School.  The construction cost for this project phase was $688,000.

The second phase includes the review and oversight of the design and construction activities for the on-site fire service/public water and sanitary sewer facility upgrades.  The construction cost for this project phase was approximately $1,153,000.

Andersen Engineering Associates, Inc. (AEA, Inc.) was responsible for coordinating the required project design and construction details with the utility owner (Perkasie Regional Authority) and the Authority’s Contractor, as well as the School Administrator, Architect, Engineers, and Contractors.

Over the course of this project, AEA, Inc. provided the following services:

Project Management, Administration and Coordination

  • Bidding
  • Prepare Addenda if and as required
  • Attend Construction Meetings
  • Prepare Meeting Agenda and Minutes
  • Submittal and Shop Drawing Review
  • Develop and Review Project Status and Progress Reports
  • Process Requests for Information (RFI’s)
  • Process Contractor’s Requests for Partial Payment
  • Process Change Orders if and as required
  • Construction Surveillance
  • Review and Observe Required Testing Procedures
  • Prepare Field Inspection Reports
  • Process Project Close-Out

Andersen Engineering Associates, Inc. teamed with McKernan Architects to prepare drawings and specifications in order to realize this functional, aesthetic solution to a chronic stormwater leakage/corrosion problem.
